Why Good Employees Leave?

JUST A RANDOM THOUGHT.
A REPOST(from Dr. Bless Llaguno)
WHY GOOD EMPLOYEES LEAVE?
A
study came up with this surprising finding: If you're losing good
people, look to their immediate supervisor. More than any other single
reason, he is the reason people stay and thrive in an organization. And
he's the reason why they quit, taking their knowledge, experience and
contacts with them. Often, straight to the competition.
"People
leave managers not companies," write the authors Marcus Buckingham and
Curt Coffman. "So much money has been thrown at the challenge of
keeping good people - in the form of better pay, better perks and
better training - when, in the end, turnover is mostly a manager
issue."
If you have a turnover problem, look first to your managers and supervisors.
Beyond
a point, an employee's primary need has less to do with money, and
more to do with how he's treated and how valued he feels. Much of this
depends directly on the immediate manager.

Demotion(Pagbaba ng Ranggo)
-Joseph Escanilla
A demotion is a compulsory reduction in an employee's rank or job title
within the organizational hierarchy of a company, public service
department, or other body. A demotion may also lead to the loss of other
privileges associated with a more senior rank and/or a reduction in
salary or benefits. An employee may be demoted for violating the rules
of the organization by a behavior such as excessive lateness,
misconduct, or negligence. In some cases, an employee may be demoted as
an alternative to being laid off.
Bullying Prevention for the Workplace

What is an Office Bully?
Office
bullies are individuals who utilize direct and indirect methods of
coercion to order to intimidate others and get their way in the
workplace. An office bully may be a supervisor or manager, but more
often the bullying is conducted by a coworker who is either attempting
to advance in the ranks by any means possible, or someone who tries to
force others to do his or her work. As workplace harassment has become
more commonly recognized as unacceptable, many companies have
implemented strict policies against this sort of behavior.- Chris Run

Pointers
1. Treat co-workers with respect.
2. Treat co-workers fairly and equally.
3. Speak up when you witness bullying.
4. Any witness or victim of workplace bullying should report the conduct to management or human resources.
5.
The best way to eliminate to bullying in the workplace is to remember
the " golden rule"- treat co-workers exactly like you would like to be
treated- with dignity, respect, fairness and equality.
After
all, all employees deserve a workplace where they can do their jobs to
the best of their abilities- a workplace free of fear and full of
respect.
