To be with your love one...

Communication with others by electronic media, whether it's phone, e-mail, or fax, could well be difficult...

Everything that can go wrong probably will - machines breaking down, phone lines out, messages not delivered, the Internet crashing. Driving a car could land you in impossible traffic.

If you really need to speak to someone, the best thing to do may be just to take a walk and go see them in person.

Perhaps its your last day to be with them.

"Old Fashion hopeless romantic; that believes in courtship and romance of a
lady, hasn't gone out of style. Chivalry isn't dead & Making love is an art, that needs to take in all of the senses."

In my quot.

What does it mean when I say chivalry isn't dead?

Chivalry was the code of behaviour of the Arthurian Knights. It involved respect/politeness towards women and defeated foes etc. Femininsts don't like it because they see it as somehow degrading to women. It basically involves standing aside to allow a lady to go first, holding doors for ladies, giving up your seat to a lady, Assisting a lady in difficulty, walking on the outside of the pavement ( to protect the lady from mud/water thrown up by passing carriages, holding a chair at the dining table for a lady to sit down, etc.) Terribly politically incorrect, but a much nicer way to live.

Early years 1170 and 1220.

Code of Chivalry

What does it mean when people say chivalry is dead?

Chivalry is dead because men don't do it any more.

 Opposite of Code of Chivalry

Chivalry is dead refers to the fact that many men aren't as respectful of women as they once were. Less opening of doors, giving up of seats, carrying heavy objects etc.

The chivalry here is that of being a gentleman. Yes, chivalry is a code of honor for knights, however when the medieval era ended, and knights died out, chivalry changed. It is called chivalry because it is a code of honor. It was a code for men to treat women with respect. The code of honor for the prestigious people was to do what he did when ever there was a puddle. Similarly one would treat the king/queen with the same respect. In that same era a gentleman was someone who owned land. When the knights died out, and there was still a monarchy, the code of honor “chivalry” was still practiced as mentioned earlier. People who owned land, then adopted Chivalry, and began acting the same way, since owning land was still a symbol of power. Latter on in the modern era, women started referring to these acts as gentlemanly thing to do, because it was becoming common for the gentleman to treat others with this code. That's why chivalry died and Gentlemen replaced the word. Soon later, everyone began owning land. Once that happened, being a gentlemen died. Now it is rare to see such gentlemen acts and it’s even more rare to see a chivalrous act.
